Kinross Road was an undivided road sign posted at 60km/h with some sparse direct residential property frontages. The road is straight and has undulations throughout, with trees and power poles within the road reserve. The road upgrade for 1.2km changes the road to be a modern collector road to pick up the growing subdivision traffic; one lane in each direction, constructed drainage, part-median, footpaths, lighting. The horizontal alignment followed the existing road alignment, with the pre-existing significant vertical curves reduced with associated retaining walls. The road safety audit raised mostly low-risk issues that were easily able to be rectified.
