As part of the 12km Stage 3 duplication of Princes Highway East (Traralgon to Sale), RSA carried out desktop and on-site temporary construction staging audits. The staged construction involved a series of temporary road switches and localised detours for access. Major safety considerations included driver behaviour given the long length of this section and an abutting section, site access points, temporary lighting for critical locations, and strong delineation. Safety barriers were utilised and the layout and product design sought to optimise the safety / practicality balance due to supply, project location, and other factors.
